About St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church
The Catholic Church is the “assembly of those called out” of the world – to live in the world but not to be of the world. Imaged in Scripture as the body of Christ, the Church is to be one in professing the faith revealed by Christ in universal doctrine and holiness of lived faith, and offering to God in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the continuation of Jesus’ work of redemption in which he offers himself as Head united to His body the Church in the Holy Communion of the Saints.
As such, we as members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, are extensions to our local communities of the one, holy, catholic, and Apostolic Church of Christ, members of the Body of Christ united to Christ our Head by a common profession of the doctrines of faith, lived holiness of life, and common worship of God the Father in communion of truth, life, sacrament and sacrifice as we journey to the eternal heavenly city of God. Let us strive to help each other on the way.
